US-based company Pfizer’s IT hiring rose 12.7% in December 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 2.51% in December 2022 when compared with November 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 2.85% share in the company’s total hiring activity in December 2022, and recorded a 0.32% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Pfizer IT hiring in December 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Pfizer, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50% in December 2022, and a 56.67% rise over November 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 18.09% in December 2022, and registered growth of 142.86%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.96% in December 2022, a 400% rise from November 2022.
Europe drives IT hiring at Pfizer
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in December 2022 with a 44.68% share, which marked a 121.05% rise over the previous month.
North America stood next with 31.91%, registering a 100% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 14.89% share and a 75% rise over November 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 8.51% and a month-on-month increase of 60%.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 31.91% share in December 2022, an 114.29% growth over November 2022. Greece featured next with a 22.34% share, up 320% over the previous month. India recorded an 8.51% share, an increase of 700% compared with November 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Pfizer IT hiring activity in December 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.13%, up by 81.48% from November 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.47% share, a growth of 130% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 23.4% share, up 120% over November 2022.
