Hiring in the German pharma industry drop by 51% in Q3 2023


Notably, Management Occupations jobs accounted for a 13% share of the German pharma industry new job postings in Q3 2023, down by 59% over the prior quarter.

Management Occupations drive pharma industry hiring activity

Of the industry’s total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 13% of the total new job postings in Q3 2023 and were down by 69% year-on-year. Second highest were Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, which accounted for 6% and drop by 32% year-on-year, and third highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which were 37% of the new job postings and 34% lower year-on-year.

Top five companies in pharma industry accounted for 37% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Bayer with 382, followed by F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 207, while the highest increase was at Novartis at 32%.
