Cavatak (Coxsackievirus A21, CVA-21) is under development for the treatment of colorectal cancer, metastatic uveal melanoma, solid tumors, head and neck cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, advanced or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, metastatic gastric cancer, gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, metastatic melanoma and bladder cancer.

It was also under development for the treatment of glioma, mesothelioma, breast cancer,  non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer, non-small cell lung cancer and multiple myeloma. Coxsackievirus A21 is administered through intratumoral, intravesical and intravenous route. Cavatak is the formulation of the Coxsackievirus Type A21 (CVA21). Coxsackievirus A21 acts via ICAM-1 targeted virotherapy which delays or avoids the impact of virus neutralization. The drug candidate is developed using oncolytic virotherapy technology.
