Hiring in the Swiss pharma industry drop by 5% in Q2 2023

Notably, Management Occupations jobs accounted for a 17% share of the Swiss’s pharma industry new job postings in Q2 2023, down by 28% over the prior quarter.

Management Occupations drive pharma hiring activity

Of the industry’s total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 17% of the total new job postings in Q2 2023 and were down by 68% year-on-year. Second highest were Life, Physical, and Social Science Occupations, which accounted for 9% and drop by 46% year-on-year, and third highest were Business and Financial Operations Occupations, which were 20% of the new job postings and 78% lower year-on-year.

Top five companies in pharma accounted for 67% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 369, followed by Lonza Group with 309, while the highest increase was at Novartis at 1%.
