AstraZeneca’s IT hiring activity rises by 40.9% in December 2022

UK-based company AstraZeneca’s IT hiring rose 40.9% in December 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 54.11% in December 2022 when compared with November 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 5.88% share in the company’s total hiring activity in December 2022, and recorded a 0.63% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops AstraZeneca IT hiring in December 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AstraZeneca, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 32.94% in December 2022, and a 391.3% rise over November 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 27.7% in December 2022, and registered growth of 143.59%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 21.87% in December 2022, a 226.09% rise from November 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at AstraZeneca

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in December 2022 with a 42.86% share, which marked a 140.98% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 34.99%, registering a 566.67% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 19.53% share and a 168% rise over November 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.62% and a month-on-month increase of 125%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 37.32% share in December 2022, a 120.69% growth over November 2022. US featured next with a 23.62% share, up 1250% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 9.33% share, an increase of 190.91% compared with November 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead AstraZeneca IT hiring activity in December 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 49.85%, up by 205.36% from November 2022. Mid Level positions with a 44.02% share, a growth of 251.16% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.54% share, up 137.5% over November 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.58%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
